You are probably wondering what this is and why we're here.

Long ago, a group of friends started a little group of writers after meeting in a fan fiction community. We were somewhat later booted from because we were too mature themed for said fan fiction community. We all talked occasionally about our original fiction.

I think it is a shame that some of those stories may never see print. So why not help each other get started easing some original fiction into the public eye?

What I would ultimately like to do is pay writers for their stories - but we are not anywhere near that yet. Our little magazine is out of pocket several hundred dollars so far and has nothing to show for it but a spiffy web-page.

We intend for that to change.

The deal is simple. Management will run the page, suck up the costs, and collect the web subscriptions to cover our costs and try to get bigger and better. We will also be looking into publishing a quarterly magazine of some of our goodies to sell at conventions and of course, online.

Writers who contribute steadily will have membership privileges. None of this is solid yet. But so far we are looking at access to the beta forums, free membership for the month they contribute, and advertising space. All of our work will be published in serial form on our web-page and in book form to be able to buy a hard copy. Some people handle their own publishing and web-pages, we will still be happy to have them as advertisers and show off their wares.

We will make money from the web subscriptions. The contributors will make money from selling hard copies, which can be ordered through our pages or links.

Right now this is only open to people we know personally, friends from Yaoimongers and other sources. Someday, we hope to open it up to anyone with talent.

What are we looking for? That’s simple.

What do you like to read?

That’s what we want. Yes, this is a cheap ploy to get our friends to write all those wonderful original stories they tell us about but never quite get around to writing up. Horror, fantasy, sci-fi, romance, erotica, adventure, you name it. We'd like to read it.

We do not write for children, nor anything aimed specifically at the under-eighteen crowd. We believe, however, that fairy tales are not just for children. While we do not promote pure pornography, we don't think there is anything wrong with sex and its depictions in prose or art. Therefore no one under 18 will be granted a membership if we can possibly prevent it. We also do not limit ourselves to gay or straight romance or fantasy, nor cater to people who are easily upset by mature themes.

Since many of us are Slash, Yaoi and Yuri fans, you can expect to see idealized gay relationships portrayed in many of the stories. Please note the 'idealized'. Just as it isn't required of anyone to have a degree in physics or philosophy or religion to write about science fiction, fantasy or fairy tales, we're not here to portray hyper realistic romance or erotic scenes. We are also many of us fans of high fantasy and science fiction, so a lot of the stories will be slanted accordingly. The works here are to please ourselves, our friends and those like us who enjoy the sort of things we write and read. That being said - we sincerely hope the readers find our offerings pleasing, and hope to have things up sooner than later!
