  1. Product Review: Knorr Homestyle Stock

    Knorr Homestyle Stock

I've tried several versions of bullion and stock. Often - you get what you pay for. The canned stocks/broths can actually taste a little 'off', at least to me. They're often so salty you might as well forget tasting anything but salt, as well. Salty water with a hint of chicken.

    Not this stuff.

    But a little background first.

I like the boxed broth the best. Why, you may ask? Because I have feeb hands. I don’t' ...

  2. The Internet and MLK Day

Okay, so this one is about 2 weeks late, but I was working on the actual holiday, and that work is the subject of this blog post, so it all comes together in the end.

I'll preface this post the same way I prefaced the article on SOPA and PIPA -- this is just my opinion, no one else's, and feel free to disagree with me.

  3. Product Review: the Chef Basket

    the product's page:https://chefbasket.com/

Alright - you've surely seen this commercial. I got one on a whim. So here's the review.

No matter how much you see it sell for, remember to check the shipping - most of them sell for less than 15 bucks but the shipping is seven or so. You can actually get these at several stores, including, of all places, Staples. (I had a wtf moment there.)

Upon opening it, I noted several things. It does fold down very ...
  4. Rant: Tags in Clothes

    the Tag of Extreme Irritation

I was gifted a lovely blue 'wubbie' (what we call an item that is effectively a floor length sweatshirt, fleece out) this holiday.

It was perfect. Fit well, just a little stretchy, v neck so that it didn't give me that apparel claustrophobia I am prone unto (It is a real thing, apparently, not just me being a wimp.)

But it had …. The Tag of Extreme Irritation.

Maybe I'm the only one in the galaxy ...

  5. SWTOR: One Panda’s Opinion

So, I preordered Star Wars: The Old Republic mostly as a favor to the husband – he’s a Star Wars fan, and I have watched the (original) movies once or twice with no ill-effects. I would go so far as to say I enjoyed the movies, but I do not natively seek out Star Wars related items in my day-to-day living.

The co-preorder arrangement was my way of saying “sure, I’ll spend time with you” since our Rift escapades have become few and far between due to work. I even stayed up with my index ...
